Stylist Watercolours pear artwork

This popular product adds vibrant colour to your artwork.

What you need:

  • Roymac Rains Watercolour Paper
  • Stylist Watercolours
  • Roymac Achiever Round size 8

Step-by-step

Step 1: Your design

Starting with water and a light colour like yellow, plot in the shape of the pear onto the page.

Step 2: Light and shade

Using a darker colour like orange, add pigment to the left hand side of the pear, providing highlights.

Step 3: Create watercolour

Now with a warmer colour like purple, add some more shading to the shape. Let the colour flood through with the others in a watercolour effect.

Step 4: Cool colours

Pick up some blue and paint this predominantly into the left side of the pear. The deeper colours will provide more depth to the work and as the blue mixes with the other colours you will see greens start to appear. Once your artwork is dry you are complete!
