Art plays an integral role in grief therapy among children, so the idea of providing Mirabel with the art supplies needed to allow children to express themselves was one we couldn't ignore.
The Mirabel Foundation is a charity set up to care for those children orphaned or abandoned due to parental illicit drug use and who are now in kinship care. Children who find it hard or are simply unable to talk about their experiences and feelings are given the chance to open up and share through drawing and painting.
Mirabel believes that every child deserves a childhood and a restored sense of self-worth. It is due to the tireless efforts of Founder Jane Rowe and her team that allows these children to have this and we are proud to be able to help in the way we can.
Ben Dortimer, the owner of Micador Group, has been involved with Mirabel for 10 years and has been a Mirabel board member since 2007.
